Head, Community Interventions | Trauma-informed Expert

This is an opportunity to lead a team of professionals in delivering trauma-informed services to youth and families. The successful candidate will have expertise in programme development and delivery, with a focus on creating safe and supportive environments.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Social Sciences and at least 5 years of experience in managerial or leadership roles, preferably in trauma-informed settings. They will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to oversee end-to-end development and delivery of programmes, ensure day-to-day practices integrate trauma-informed principles, and establish systematic monitoring processes that track both therapeutic outcomes and programme effectiveness.

The role also requires the ability to develop trauma-informed outreach strategies, build strategic collaborations with government agencies and community partners, and establish trusting relationships with external agencies that prioritize youth voice and choice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing trauma-informed supervision, deploying Social Service Professionals with attention to secondary trauma prevention and staff wellbeing, and cultivating a learning culture that values continuous improvement, peer support, and shared decision-making.

Additionally, they will design and conduct research that centers youth voice and includes participatory evaluation methods, identify practice and research gaps through a trauma-informed, equity lens, and use evaluation findings to continuously improve trauma-informed service delivery.

Requirements:
