Hotel Housekeeper Job Description

At Shun Tak Real Estate (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Artyzen Singapore.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for an individual with previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and changing linens.
  • Additionally, they will ensure that guest rooms are properly stocked with amenities and supplies, report any maintenance issues or damage, and respond promptly to guest requests.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with other departments.
  • They will also be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and be available to work under pressure when required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to the hotel's high standards.
  2. Ensure guest rooms are properly stocked with amenities and supplies.
  3. Report any maintenance issues or damage to the Housekeeping Manager immediately.
  4. Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or services.
  5. Complete daily room assignments and assist with special projects as needed.
  6. Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure guest needs are met.
  7. Follow all safety and security procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  8. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  9. Attend all required training sessions and meetings.
  10. Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless operation.
  11. Participate in emergency response procedures and provide support during emergencies.

Requirements:

  • Prior housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

Estimated Salary: SGD 40,000 - 60,000 per annum.
