Interior Designer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to lead our retail space planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixture design, material application, and visual merchandising.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing creative and functional interior design concepts tailored for retail environments.

  • Design Development:
  • Create visually appealing and functional designs that meet the branding objectives of clients.
  • Translate client needs into spatial design ideas.

Key Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SketchUp.
  • Ability to create detailed 2D drawings, including space plans, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), elevations, and sections.

Retail-Specific Expertise:

  • Design and detail shopfronts, display units, product shelving, cashier counters, and feature walls.
  • Incorporate signage, lighting concepts, and branding elements into the interior layout.

Project Coordination:

  • Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
  • Attend site meetings and inspections to ensure design accuracy during implementation.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of retail space planning, fixture design, and material application.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple retail projects under tight timelines.
