Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs and Trade Compliance Manager to oversee customs and trade compliance for our operations in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.

This role ensures adherence to trade regulations, supports import/export operations, and mitigates compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Free Trade Agreements analytics and define the path to implement FTA for the region.
  • Lead communications between embecta and local consultant on any other custom regulation changes and requirements.
  • Work with Global Trade team to define long-term embecta trade supporting structure for Asia.
  • Provide analytics to trade war impact and implement mitigation plans.
  • Onboard India Customs declaration, complete SVB and EPR license approval, prepare valuation study and report out.
  • Consolidate and analyze import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for savings.
  • Analysis the embecta trade process and make recommendations to management.
  • Develop corrective action plans based on findings and follow actions through until completion.
  • Develop KPIs, monitor metrics, and perform periodic performance reviews on Customs Brokers.
  • Calculate and communicate monthly Customs cost savings reporting.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years' experience in logistics and trade compliance.
  • Success in regulated medical device or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Experience managing internal and external partners.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain and customs.
  • Working knowledge of regional import/export law, HTS, and FTAs.
  • Analytical problem-solver with strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong change management skills and continuous improvement mindset.
  • High integrity and ability to handle shifting priorities and ambiguity.
