Job Title: Inventory Coordinator
Job Description:The role of an inventory coordinator is pivotal in maintaining a seamless and efficient store environment. This individual will be responsible for managing the flow of merchandise, ensuring accurate stock handling, and maintaining a well-organized storage area.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that merchandise is readily available for replenishment and that the store operates smoothly behind the scenes.
Key responsibilities include receiving, checking, and verifying incoming stock against delivery orders or invoices, replenishing merchandise on sales floors in a timely and accurate manner based on store needs, packing, tagging, and sorting merchandise for storage or display according to standard procedures, coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely deliveries, maintaining proper stock organization in both the storeroom and sales floor, conducting regular stock counts and assisting in inventory audits as required, and reporting discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues to the store leadership team promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a stockroom or warehouse role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems and retail operations is an advantage.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
