Job Title: Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance database performance.
  • Establish and maintain robust database security measures.
  • Design and enforce database standards to ensure optimal operations.
  • Manage user access to databases and ensure efficient authorization processes.
  • Optimize database performance through continuous monitoring and analysis.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain database applications to meet business needs.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex database issues to minimize downtime.
  • Recommend and implement emerging database technologies to drive innovation.
  • Generate detailed reports and insights from database data to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in database server administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, performance monitoring, and standards.
  • Expertise in managing physical standby databases and database installation/upgrade.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle RAC, DB2 HADR, MySQL, and other relevant technologies.
  • Familiarity with middleware technologies such as WAS and WebLogic is an added advantage.
