Database Administrator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Database Administrator. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems across various environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and support of SQL Server instances across development, QA, and production environments.
  • Configuration and support of Always-On Availability Groups, failover clusters, and other HA/DR solutions.
  • Performance tuning using indexing strategies, query optimization, and monitoring tools like SQL Profiler and Extended Events.
  • BAU (Business-As-Usual) Support including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to login failures, port conflicts, TLS/SSL handshakes, and cross-server connectivity.
  • Coordination with infrastructure teams to resolve network-related SQL issues.
  • Monitoring & Reporting including automated alerts, health checks, and performance dashboards.
  • Testing & Deployment including UAT data setup and coordination with development and infrastructure teams.
  • Security & Compliance including user roles, permissions, and SQL security policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Expertise in MS SQL DBA, Always-on, Performance Tuning, and Database Administration.
  • Strong understanding of SQL Server versions (2008–).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
