Overview
The Senior Security and Emergency Response Technician role is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and crisis management abilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security and emergency response, with experience in managing complex security systems and responding to high-pressure situations.
- Ensure all personnel, contractors, and visitors adhere to site security procedures.
- Verify the functionality of security surveillance equipment.
- Man the Fire Command Centre during emergencies, liaising with the Site Incident Controller as Security Coordinator.
- Supervise and manage contract security officers during day and night shifts.
- Assist the SER Supervisor in testing and maintaining fire protection and alarm systems.
- Participate in in-house training for ERT colleagues.
- Ensure sitewide emergency equipment is in good operational condition.
- Monitor the Fire Command Centre, responding to fire alarms and coordinating with the Site Incident Controller.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure serviceability of fire protection and alarm systems, as well as security surveillance equipment.
- Collaborate with the Site Incident Controller and Emergency Response Team to provide advice and support in responding to site emergencies.
Requirements
- GCE O level or equivalent qualifications.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or petrochemical manufacturing plants or process-related industries. Preference given to those with firefighting training at supervisory level.
