Job Overview

The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving profitability and efficiency within the trade services division.

This dynamic individual will be responsible for managing trade strategies, analysing market trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in pricing/yield management and excellent communication skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Gather and synthesise information on trade regulations, tariffs, and market dynamics while performing competitor analysis and assisting in forecasting.
  • Monitor and optimise trade performance by analysing P&L trends and providing insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing across the specific trade lane assigned.
  • Oversee the daily pricing process, including the development of rate structures and application of surcharges.
  • Implement yield management tactics to ensure an optimal cargo mix.
  • Develop trade forecasts through analysing the market.
  • Work closely with stakeholders on trade and growth plans to ensure operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor shipping operations performance indicators and provide recommendations for enhancements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Maritime, Business or any related discipline is highly desirable.
  • More than 4 years of experience in the shipping industry with a strong background in pricing/yield management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
