We are partnering with a leading, global food and beverage company who are looking for a Sr Global Customs and Trade Director to join their newly created team.

Reporting into the VP of Global Import-Export, you will oversee the continual growth and development of the organisation’s customs & trade capabilities.

**Responsibilities;**
- Create a worldwide customs and trade strategy, vision, and roadmap that produces a capable and dependable capability.
- Lead standardisation, continuous improvement, knowledge exchange, and decision-making across sectors to enable customs and trade optimization.
- Increase productivity from import-export by reducing costs and creating thorough plans for future development
- Ensure operational continuity for the various sectors by ensuring that all foreign shipments have compliant documentation in order to get the best delivery and transportation times, as well as the best prices and lowest risks.
- Conduct a global analysis of all import
- and export-related activities to find potential customs and trade optimization possibilities and associated compliance impacts in an effort to lower risks, compliance problems, and governmental audits.
- Manage and support FDA, fiscal, and government audits as needed by supplying paperwork and verification of import procedures to reduce risks and mitigate impacts.
- Ensure proper and efficient management of international trade compliance, minimising operational, financial, and administrative impacts and risks that may result from interactions between governmental institutions, such as the Treasury Department, health and phytosanitary authorities, and customs authorities.
- Lead the development of Customs & Trade excellence and capability to proactively act on regulatory and trade risk and opportunity areas to improve Import-Export operations.
- Develop an Import-Export organization's near
- and long-term data and technology enablement plan in collaboration with various industries and IT operations, then put it into practise around the world.

**Skills Required;**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant degree or equivalent
- 10-15 years of experience in operations, transportation, or customs & trade experience is essential
- Experience with IT platforms and tools including design, configuration, development and implementation
- Proficient in Lean Six Sigma or Agile methodologies
- Proven experience managing large scale projects
