Job Title

As a seasoned Quality Assurance and Control expert, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of robust Food Safety and Quality Management Systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and sustaining effective Food Safety and Quality Management Systems compliant with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, Organic, and Halal standards;
  • Supporting operations to ensure products meet statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • Driving continuous improvement through the application of 7 QC tools in trouble shooting, problem solving, and identifying root causes of non-conformities;
  • Ensuring compliance to CCP, OPRP, and Quality Control Points as defined, coordinating non-conformity processes, product on-hold, re-inspection, and final disposition conclusion;
  • Raising Corrective Action Requests (CAR) internally and externally for non-conformance and complaints, following up and ensuring timely closure of complaint investigation reports and non-conformance CARs;
  • Liaising with government agencies and certification bodies on product registration or plant certification information;
  • Designing and executing trial in plant scale, validating test protocols for new products, packaging, and equipment;
  • Establishing, updating, and maintaining product formulation and specification, reviewing and verifying nutritional information, sensory, and shelf life for new market products;
  • Evaluating and reviewing acceptability of raw material/packaging from new suppliers;
  • Fostering cross-functional collaboration within the company and partnership with suppliers and customers to solve quality and food safety issues;
  • Coordinating, controlling, and verifying change in improvement initiatives of systems and processes to achieve cost optimization and comply with food safety and quality standards;
  • Conducting internal audit activities to verify operation activities meet HACCP, GMP, hygiene/sanitary, ISO 22000, and ISO 9001 requirements periodically;
  • Providing training (GMP Hygiene, HACCP, and Food Safety) to Operations and Production staff;
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree holder in Food Technology, Food Science, or related fields;
  • A minimum 3 years working experience, preferably in QA/QC and product development in the relevant industry;
  • Bilingual – English/Mandarin beneficial; and
  • Advantageous to possess knowledge and experience in Statistical Process Control, visual board management, and waste elimination.
