Food Safety and Quality Expert

The role of a Quality Assurance Manager/Assistant Manager involves ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of quality and food safety systems aligned with internal and external standards. Key responsibilities include assessing the feasibility and acceptance of internal and external requirements and expectations, coordinating and assisting in the implementation of change management processes, and reviewing and analyzing data to provide regular updates on food safety, quality, and service trends.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Quality Assurance team, providing functional leadership for regular performance reviews, succession planning, staff development, and training.
- Manage and maintain quality and food safety systems, ensuring alignment with internal and external standards.
- Coordinate audits from regulatory bodies, certification bodies, and customers, and ensure effective resolution of non-conformances.
- Develop and implement process controls, food safety programs, and quality initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assess and evaluate employee skills and qualifications to identify areas for development and growth.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
- Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems (HACCP, BRC, ISO 22000)
- Strong communication, strategic planning, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to handle complexity and have an eye for detail
