Senior Material Handling Specialist

This role requires a seasoned professional to oversee the material handling activities in an engineering setup for upstream oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the material handling team and ensure timely completion of tasks with high-quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in preparation of material handling philosophy/specification, study of material handling requirements, establishing special lifting equipment, handling procedures, human factor engineering, and providing inputs to other disciplines on material handling.
  • Participate in model reviews to explain material handling facilities and methodology.
  • Interact closely with safety engineers for safety requirements including drop object studies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent engineering specialization.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working as a lead material handling engineer in an engineering setup for offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Familiarity with cranes and its restrictions, material handling routes, reserve volumes in 3D models, and supplier package limits.
  • Ability to generate data sheets for material handling items and issue material handling reports.
