Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost/Contracts Manager (Quantity Surveyor) to join our team. The incumbent will be responsible for Contract Management and Quantity Surveyor, including managing and controlling the costs associated with shipbuilding projects from the planning phase through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage cost estimates and budgets for shipbuilding projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they remain within the established budget and scope.
  • Work closely with project managers, procurement, and engineering teams to gather accurate data for cost planning and tracking.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis, identifying cost drivers and areas for cost reduction or optimization.

We require a strong understanding of cost estimation, project budgeting, cost analysis, and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments to ensure financial objectives are met.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous background in Quantity Surveying would be preferred.
  • Proven relevant experience within the Shipbuilding, Maritime, or Construction industry.
  • Ability to be based in Batam (Indonesia) is a must.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
