Medical Laboratory Technologist Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the development of histopathology research resources.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality histological services, including microtomy, and assisting in lab management.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Pathologists and N2CR members on TMA construction and map annotation.
  • Search for relevant pathology cases and retrieve blocks for tissue annotation.
  • Provide histological services, such as microtomy, for N2CR members.
  • Operationalize consent and prospective sample collection for biopsy, organoid, and PDX development.
  • Assist in lab management, including archiving and inventorying constructed TMA blocks.
  • Uphold research integrity and ensure safety compliance.
  • Act as a liaison among TR, NUS Ex-Path, and N2CR Programme Admin Lead for requesting Pathology FFPE tissues and tracking consumables purchases and equipment maintenance.
  • Keep careful records of all tissue samples curated and respective requestors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, or equivalent from an accredited University.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a field related to histology, molecular biology, anatomy, or biomedical research will be considered favorably.
  • Experience in tissue microarrays would be an asset.
