Head of Psychosocial Department
We're seeking a visionary leader to drive our psychosocial vision. The successful candidate will shape and execute a comprehensive care strategy that integrates clinical, emotional, and social wellbeing for individuals with dementia.
The Head of Psychosocial Department is responsible for developing and implementing individualized living well care plans addressing cognitive, emotional, and behavioural needs.
A key aspect of this role is overseeing regular assessments and interventions for residents' mood, behaviour, and cognitive function.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs.
- Promote non-pharmacological approaches to managing behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
- Drive adoption of evidence-based interventions and cognitive stimulation programmes to enhance quality of life.
- Lead research initiatives, including conceptualization, data analysis, and reporting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Supervise and mentor staff in multiple clinical departments.
- Provide training and development opportunities to build the psychosocial skills and confidence of nursing, allied health, and care staff.
- A Master's or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or related discipline with substantial dementia-care experience.
- Preferably already registered with a reputable professional body.
- A minimum 5 years' leadership experience in healthcare, eldercare, or dementia-focused settings.
