Chief Data Centre Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Expert to join our team. This role involves 24x7 monitoring and first-level support to ensure system availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Support: Provide continuous operational support for data centres to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
- Monitoring and Response: Monitor system alerts and events from various tools, ensuring timely response and accurate ticket logging.
- Batch Job Execution: Manage batch job execution to ensure completion within defined timeframes without impacting online operations.
- On-Site Assistance: Deliver on-site assistance for critical support tasks, including hardware checks and coordination with remote teams.
- Data Centre Security: Maintain the safety, security, and operational integrity of data centre environments at all times.
- Issue Escalation: Escalate issues appropriately and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
- Documentation: Document incidents, shift handovers, and daily operational logs accurately.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform routine equipment and infrastructure checks, escalating anomalies when necessary.
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in IT operations or data centre environment is required.
- Familiarity with system monitoring and job scheduling tools is essential.
- Strong multitasking and analytical skills; able to handle high-volume alerts and tickets efficiently.
- Willingness to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physical fitness to support on-site operational tasks in a secure environment.
- Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
