Speech Therapist Senior Role - Multidisciplinary Team Member


As a senior Speech Therapist, you will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team working with patients in the areas of communication, voice and swallowing disorders. You will play a vital role in caregiver training, assessing patients' progress throughout treatment, preparing records and reports as appropriate.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patients using logical and sequential reasoning methods to generate and test hypotheses;
  • Analyzing patients' problems directly related to conditions referred, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning;
  • Planning and implementing effective treatments based on current available scientific evidence to ensure patient safety and effectiveness of intervention;
  • Participating actively in care team meetings, clinics, research activities and work improvement initiatives;
  • Contribute to departmental action plans through collaboration with internal and external clients in a professional manner;
  • Contributing to learning and growth through active participation in clinical education and training initiatives;
  • Supervising and facilitating the learning of support staff, students, junior staff and peers as required.
Requirements & Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who have:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent;
  • Training and experience in working with adult patients with voice and swallowing disorders;
  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and healthcare professionals;
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
