Speech and Language Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Speech and Language Therapist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing patients referred for speech therapy, evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.

About the Role

  • Evaluate patients with speech and language disorders, develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to design and deliver individualized therapy programs.
  • Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders, available therapies, and effective communication strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess patients with speech and language disorders and develop personalized treatment plans.
  2. Work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver tailored therapy programs.
  3. Provide education and support to patients and their families on speech and language disorders and effective communication strategies.
  4. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or related field.
  • Experience working with adults with speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
