">Job Description
">As a UX Manager at GovTech, you will play a crucial role in shaping user experience strategy, driving best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality user-centered designs. You will lead a team of talented UX designers and researchers across multiple products within a programme, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Develop and Implement UX Strategy: Define and communicate the UX vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with policy goals and user needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to product development.
- Roadmap Planning: Contribute to product roadmap planning, prioritizing UX initiatives that drive user satisfaction and business success.
- User Research and Insights: Oversee user research activities to gather insights, ensuring a deep understanding of our users and informing programme strategy and design decisions.
Process Management
">- Establish Best Practices for UX Processes: Develop and refine UX processes to ensure efficiency and consistency in design deliverables.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics and user feedback to make informed decisions and continuously improve the user experience.
- Metrics and Measurements: Establish and track UX metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of design solutions.
- Foster Innovation: Promote a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to explore new ideas and methodologies.
People Management
">- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX designers and researchers, fostering their growth and development.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and address performance gaps.
- Career Development: Support team members in their career aspirations, providing guidance on skill development and career progression.
- Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
">- Minimum of 8 years of experience in UX design, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of UX design, principles, user research methodologies, and data-driven design.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and align UX efforts with agency objectives.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
