Senior Station Operations Engineer

Overview
Scoot is seeking a highly skilled Senior Station Operations Engineer to join its engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing station operations and restarts, ensuring the availability of manpower, equipment, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of Line Station Operations and Restart: Ensure the timely restart of stations after maintenance, factoring in the availability of manpower, equipment, and facilities.
  • THA Sourcing and Engagement: Source and engage third-party handlers (THAs) at new stations for the most competitive rates, with services best suited to support Scoot operations.
  • THA Appointment and Compliance: Appoint THAs, ensuring that contracts, training, approvals from authorities, and other requirements are met before a station starts operations.
  • Spare Parts Management: Manage station spares to ensure required parts and consumables are available on time.
  • Training Coordination: Arrange for training for engineers to support Scoot operations.
  • Onboard Support: Arrange for engineers onboard to support line stations without local THAs.
  • THA Collaboration: Work with THAs to ensure seamless service ramp-ups or configuration changes.
  • AOG Spares: Explore pooling support with THAs or regional airlines for AOG spares requirements.
Requirements:

  • Knowledge of aircraft operations and contracts.
  • Basic knowledge in finance and costing.
  • Team-oriented and resourceful, able to work independently when required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective communication at all levels, managing stakeholders from vendors as well as internal and external departments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong creative output and execution with cost constraints.
  • Basic knowledge of Singapore Aviation Regulation.
