This is a challenging role for an enthusiastic individual who wishes to take up the position of Station Operations Manager in a dynamic and fast-paced train station environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers and colleagues alike. He/She must be physically fit and able to work in a team-based setting.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to support our operations team in maintaining the smooth flow of passengers through the train station.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all station equipment is functioning properly, conducting security patrols, providing customer service, and performing administrative tasks such as reporting incidents and filing fault reports.

He/She will also be required to manage crowds during peak hours, carry out first-line recovery of station equipment and systems, and perform duties as an emergency train operator when necessary.

  • Customer Service:
  • Assist passengers with fare-related and directional enquiries
  • Attend to unwell passengers and render first aid when necessary
  • Monitor CCTV and make public announcements
  • Acknowledge and respond to alarm status

Additionally, he/she will be expected to ensure passenger safety on escalators and trains, attend to incidents and alarms at platforms and trains, and provide travel directions for passengers.

Operational duties include operating or manning the train to provide quick response to train faults and alarms, while minimizing delays.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a NITEC/Higher NITEC in Engineering discipline. You should also be able to perform 3 rotating shift work based on a duty roster.

Furthermore, you must enjoy communicating with people, be service-oriented, and possess a pleasant disposition. You should also be able to multitask effectively when responding to station operation requirements.
