Job Title: Station Operations Coordinator

The Station Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of train services and passenger safety at the station. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing platform and train operations, and carrying out administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to passengers, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Assisting passengers with fare-related and directional enquiries, as well as attending to unwell passengers and rendering first aid when necessary.
  • Ensuring passenger safety during travel on escalators and boarding/alighting from trains.
  • Attending to incidents and alarms at platforms and trains, and carrying out hand signalman duties when required.
  • Assisting in detrainment of passengers when required.
  • Carrying out checks on illegally parked or abandoned bicycles or belongings.
  • Conducting inspections and taking appropriate actions on passengers who use concession tickets illegally, travel without valid tickets, and those who flout regulations.
  • Liaising with cleaning personnel for station/toilet cleaning.
  • Reporting equipment faults to the Station Manager and filing fault reports through the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
  • Opening and closing the station according to the timetable, switching station equipment on/off before/after traffic hours.
  • Checking the station area for any passengers before closing the station.
  • Facilitating track access during non-revenue hours and checking for oil spills on station platform tracks after the last Engineering Train has passed the station.
  • Handling all train/station incidents and emergencies.
  • Managing and reporting all incidents and emergency situations relating to staff, passengers, trains, Passenger Service Centre, stations, and crowd control.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NITEC/Higher NITEC in an engineering discipline.
  • Ability to perform 3 rotating shift work based on a duty roster.
  • MOM Licences and EA Personnel Registration Number.
