Residential Support Coordinator Job Description

At our organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Residential Support Coordinator to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional residential support services to our scholars, ensuring their well-being, safety, and smooth transition into our residential facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing them to effectively connect with scholars from diverse backgrounds. They will also have strong organizational and multitasking abilities, enabling them to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine care and support to scholars, including assistance with meals, waking up, and lights out duties.
  • Coordinate and oversee the security, facilities, and cleaning to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, responsibility, and respect at all times.
  • Offer general emotional support, contributing to a positive living environment for scholars within the residential community.
  • Communicate, promote, and enforce residential policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence by scholars.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to enhance residential support services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in residential support or student services is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, connecting effectively with scholars from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of youth engagement theory and cultural sensitivity.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
