Job Opportunity: Mechanical and Electrical Engineer- Construction

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the mechanical and electrical systems for our construction projects across Singapore.

This is a full-time position that requires working onsite, ensuring the seamless integration and efficient operation of all mechanical and electrical components throughout the construction process.

The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure. They will also be able to liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on the progress of electrical work and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Responsibilities include:
  • Supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Liaising with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on the progress of electrical work and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Liaising with consultants and clients on the design of shop drawings.
  • Attending technical and coordination meetings.
  • Handling and resolving technical and engineering problems.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of work.
  • Coordinating and liaising with consultants and clients to ensure smooth completion of projects.
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation to track project milestones and compliance.
  • Collaborating with the project management team to identify and resolve any design or construction challenges.
  • Ensuring all work adheres to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer in the construction industry. They should also have a proven track record of successfully managing mechanical and electrical systems installations on construction sites and LTA projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address complex technical issues. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is proficient in using relevant software and tools for project management, design, and documentation. They should also be able to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
