We are seeking an experienced Regional Financial Controller to join our Finance Regional Office based in Singapore. This role involves driving finance, system, treasury, and taxation-related matters for our region agencies (Oceania and SEA). You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, implementing work improvement projects, and improving performance across all offices under the Region office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance Management: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, conduct statutory audits within stipulated time frames, and file documents on schedule. Perform bank reconciliations monthly and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Treasury Management: Monitor projected and actual cash flow of agencies monthly, negotiate with banks for competitive FX rates, and ensure effective working capital management through regular review and internal actions.
  • Tax Management: Adhere to tax planning policy set by HQ, conduct tax audits, and work with HQ on tax projects to ensure compliance with tax regulations in the jurisdiction.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks across countries periodically, develop risk mitigation strategies, and establish effective internal controls to support overall objectives.
  • System Controls: Strengthen regional finance systems to prevent leakage or oversight, develop SOPs for different functions, and implement uniform accounting policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in finance, with exposure across finance systems, treasury, and taxation-related matters.
  • Preferably having shipping industry experience.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is SGD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
