We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to drive business process improvements, automation and standardization across countries in the Oceania & Southeast Asia (OSRO) region. In the first year, this role will focus on the SG agency, driving and managing key transformation initiatives within the SG Agency, focusing on process improvement, operational efficiency, and implementing performance management standards. The Business Process Manager will act as a change agent, working with his/her peers in the agency leadership team as well as their teams, to support the SG Agency’s journey to becoming a future-proof organization aligned with PIL’s global strategic goals. Following this, the role will leverage the experience and standardization achieved in SG agency for the rest of the OSRO region.

Key Responsibilities:

Year 1:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of transformation projects to support SG Agency’s 2026 aspirations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Customer Service, to ensure seamless implementation of initiatives.
  • Work with teams to identify areas for process improvement and drive efficiency improvements to achieve productivity targets.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of transformation initiatives.
  • Actively engage with HQ and regional offices to align SG Agency’s projects with global transformation objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular project status updates, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management.
  • Be accountable for continuously driving SG agency performance management reports and visibility
  • Prepare and lead SG agency HOD meetings, huddles and townhalls.
Year 2 onwards:
  • Drive process reviews to identify and implement automation (RPA/Macros) and digital solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business Units (BUs) to design and implement system solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Document and publish end-to-end business processes for network-wide consistency.
  • Lead process standardization initiatives (current focus on Sales and Customer Service).
  • Leverage standardized processes and experience to improve operations in other regional countries.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions during process improvements.
  • Act as a regional resource to share best practices and align with HQ standards.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organization.
  • Mentor and coach select teams to adopt best practices in project and process management.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to foster collaboration and alignment across teams.
  • Support GCAM in implementing change management initiatives to address employee concerns and ensure a positive transition experience.

MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex projects in logistics, shipping, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in leading transformation and process improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – ability to convey technical concepts simply to non-technical teams, and business requirements accurately to technical teams.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, etc).
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with the container shipping industry is a plus.
