About the Role

As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering services to operate and maintain the property. This includes customer/client services, budget management, facility maintenance, procurement, and supplier management. You will develop client relationships with key representatives in supporting client's corporate real estate goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
• Overcome engineering challenges and demonstrate commitment to operational excellence
• Provide technical advice and guidance to facilities engineers and technicians on process system matters
• Lead team members in executing tasks and responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and restore HVAC systems
• Mentor and train staff on work tasks and ensure they have correct equipment and tools
• Manage building management systems (BMS)
• Perform maintenance planning, implementation, and review of site-specific engineering processes and protocols
• Contribute to investigation of facilities-related issues and lead troubleshooting and restoring systems
• Maintain documentation of all maintenance performed including system deficiencies
• Perform risk assessments and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) to gain an intimate understanding of the system
• Facilitate work order processing for timely and orderly flow
• Provide effective solutions for managing daily operations and technical issues
• Ensure safe and efficient performance of essential site activities, including maintenance, complying with policies and requirements
• Lead audits to ensure safety procedures are in place and maintained
• Foster positive working relationships by meeting service level agreements
• Work as part of a larger team to ensure key performance indicators are met
• Champion improvement projects, monitor spend, and suggest improvements for engineering systems
• Collaborate with vendors on various projects from beginning to end

Requirements
• Earned a diploma or degree in engineering (Mechanical)
• Experience in lab or plant machinery environment or engineering operations is indispensable
• Strong background in engineering troubleshooting is a plus
• Proven experience in facilities system operations, MEP installations, etc.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Ability to communicate technical issues to non-engineering colleagues, clients, and vendors
• Agility and problem-solving skills
