Job Description

The Role:

  • A high-profile opportunity to spearhead risk management initiatives for a leading global financial institution.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Risk and Control Analyst to join the organization's team and contribute to the overall risk management framework across six core markets and five business units.

This 1st Line of Defence role will lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts, ensuring alignment with the Group's risk appetite across Customer Centre, Self-Service Banking, Retail Ops, Wealth Ops, Brokerage Ops, and Service Provider Governance.

The Generalist will drive risk culture building initiatives, champion a strong risk culture by supporting and training teams on risk awareness and best practices, and lead key accountabilities:

Across the units in Group CBGO :

  1. Risk Management & Mitigation: Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities, ensuring alignment with the organization's risk appetite. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and report on performance to senior leadership.
  2. Control Oversight & Testing: Conduct periodic risk reviews and key risk indicator analysis to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls. Oversee remediation of control gaps.
  3. Vendor Management: Drive governance over outsourced service providers (OSPs), including risk assessment, contract management, and performance monitoring. Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.
  4. Risk Culture & Training: Champion a strong risk culture by supporting and training teams on risk awareness and best practices. Lead risk culture building initiatives.
  5. Risk Project Delivery: Contribute to and deliver on risk-related projects & initiatives within agreed timelines.
