Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Risk Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and support to the business and infrastructure coverage teams.

As a Risk Management Specialist, you will deliver tailored expertise and review and challenge across various risk areas. Your primary focus will be on enabling the First Line of Defense (1LOD) to successfully deploy and operate mitigating key controls.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical guidance to support development and completion of Enterprise Risk and Regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Leading Singapore regulator and audit engagement pertaining to risk management.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance for the specialist area/s and timely completion of Audit actions and findings.

Additionally, you will monitor the local external environment to identify emerging risks and provide detailed guidance on controls required to mitigate against them.

As a Risk Management Specialist, you will also build and maintain relevant cross-organisation relationships and support training and capability uplift for the ERM Business and Infrastructure coverage teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with HSBC Group operations and risk management framework.
  • The ability to distil and communicate complex ideas in an understandable manner.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
