Job Description: A Mechanical Draughtsman is responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings and layouts using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools. They must possess excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and modify detailed mechanical drawings and layouts using CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to develop fabrication drawings and ensure design intent is reflected in documentation.
- Create solid models, perform tolerance analysis, and support design validation.
- Review and maintain technical drawings, schematics, and document control activities.
- Support design reviews, engineering change processes, and maintenance of project documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in mechanical engineering/drafting with knowledge of CAD software.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, machine design, tolerance analysis, and simulation tools is a plus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Exposure to mechanical design, production engineering, maintenance, and related disciplines.
