About the Role

Aon is seeking a highly experienced Senior Counsel to lead our Dispute Resolution team in Asia and Greater China. As a key member of our Asia law department, you will provide expert advice and risk management support on professional negligence claims and commercial disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Asia Legal function on dispute resolution matters, providing advice and counsel on a wide range of issues, including professional negligence, commercial disputes, and regulatory matters.
  • Work closely with our businesses to investigate, defend, and settle claims and lawsuits, minimizing financial and reputational risk.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business leaders and other functions, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Provide regular case reports and updates to management and boards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Support the strategic direction of the Aon Group and Legal Department on projects and initiatives, driving business growth and success.
Requirements
  • Qualification to practise as a lawyer in a common law jurisdiction, with a minimum of 8+ years of practical legal experience.
  • Proven expertise in dispute resolution, insurance litigation, and professional negligence claims.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a regulated environment.
  • Aptitude for providing user-friendly legal advice and coaching/education to business stakeholders.
  • Experience of developing strategic partnerships and collaboration with clients, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
