Production Machinist Job Description

The primary function of this role is to guarantee the efficient operation of grinding machines in a manufacturing environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Start up and shut down grinding machines in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Carry out daily lubrication and maintenance of machines, including wheel dressing and setup.
  • Perform grinding operations on various components, such as inner/outer bores or roller paths.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to minimize scrap and achieve acceptable output levels.
  • Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Liaise with maintenance teams to implement process improvements.

This position requires a comprehensive understanding of grinding equipment and surface grinding machines. If you have experience with CNC grinding, conventional machine grinding, or tool grinding, we encourage you to apply.
