About the Department
The Group International Management (GIM) department is responsible for overseeing management and governance across our international branches, overseas banking subsidiaries, and private equity investment management entities. Our goal is to foster sustainable growth and contributions to UOB. Through our investment management platforms, we provide financing to privately-held companies in ASEAN and China via direct equity investments. Additionally, our offices in New York and Paris enable us to offer integrated asset management solutions tailored to institutional investors worldwide, leveraging UOB's regional investment strengths for clients seeking exposure in Asia.
Key Responsibilities
The role is integral to the Business Management function, supporting the Head of GIM in performance oversight, management routines, and strategic initiatives across various business units within GIM. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the establishment and monitoring of performance metrics and deliverables for business units.
- Collaborating with business leadership teams and head office functions to implement and drive initiatives across diverse businesses and regions, identifying key issues and managing follow-ups as necessary.
- Maintaining data repositories and developing analytical tools to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Facilitating management routines, dialogues, and interactions between GIM and business units.
- Preparing research, analysis, and presentation materials related to industry trends and products as required.
- Supporting fundraising efforts and exploring new business opportunities in private markets for UOB in the Asia Pacific region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a strong foundation in finance preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in the banking or financial sector, with a preference for exposure to asset management.
- Familiarity with institutional asset management across a wide range of alternative products is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational abilities, a collaborative team player, and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
