Job Title: Library Operations Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill a key role in our library operations team. This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in library operations, including collection development and maintenance, customer service, and facilities management. They will be responsible for processing library materials, providing administrative support, and assisting with digitization projects.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Process library materials to support collection development and maintenance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including handling inquiries and processing membership registrations.
  • Maintain facilities to meet operational and customer needs.
  • Assist in library operations, including compiling reports and managing crises.
  • Prepare materials for digitization.

Key Requirements:

  • Multitasking and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and library software.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in libraries.
