The organization is embarking on a data engineering initiative to create a high-performance data platform that underpins investment decision-making.

This role involves leading the architecture, development, and scaling of the data platform. The successful candidate will take ownership of the build-out, drive growth, and lead a team as the function expands.

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cloud-native data pipelines and infrastructure to support investment and trading strategies.
  • Partner with portfolio managers, quants, and data scientists to capture requirements and deliver high-value data solutions.
  • Mentor and lead a team of data engineers as the platform matures.
About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading or architecting large-scale data solutions.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong programming expertise in Python for production-grade pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related data services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner with front-office teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Take full ownership of a greenfield data platform, from architecture design to implementation.
  2. Build scalable, secure, and cloud-native data pipelines and infrastructure to support investment and trading strategies.
  3. Partner with portfolio managers, quants, and data scientists to capture requirements and deliver high-value data solutions.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with proven experience leading or architecting large-scale data solutions.
  3. Strong programming expertise in Python (e.g., Pandas, PySpark) for production-grade pipelines.
