Job Description:
System Engineer RoleWe are seeking a skilled System Engineer to oversee the health of our Linux server platform. This individual will participate in designing, deploying, and maintaining our high-performance platform, supporting our trading environment.
- Investigate new products and techniques to enhance efficiency and performance
- Maintain architecture and ensure a tier-based storage solution
- Manage our server infrastructure at local and third-party data centers
This role involves
Main Responsibilities:- Degree Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills
- Experience: 4-6 years of system engineering experience
- Languages: Advanced experience with various Linux distributions (RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Kubernetes: Experience managing services within K8s clusters
- CLOUD ENVIRONMENT: Experience managing large-scale AWS Cloud environments
- Scripting: Experience automating daily software and hardware tasks, with Python or Bash scripting preferred
- Build Management: Experience with build and configuration management tools (Ansible/Rundeck, Puppet, Foreman)
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring and alerting tools (Icinga/Nagios, Prometheus, Alertmanager)
- Virtualization: Experience in virtualization and orchestration platforms like VMware, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Storage: Experience supporting various storage platforms/protocols
- Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling
- Knowledge of Low Latency Performance Tuning: Knowledge of Linux kernel and low-latency performance tuning
- Database Systems: Understanding of database systems, including PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
