About the Role">

The Associate Engineer plays a key role in delivering exceptional field service experiences to high-value segment customers, ensuring seamless installation and maintenance support for Singtel's domestic copper and fibre transmission networks and services.

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong technical knowledge in data communications, internet security, and home automation systems. The ideal candidate will be able to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.

  • Perform installation and maintenance support for Singtel's high-value segment customers and related products.
  • Deliver on-site support for Singtel's domestic copper and fibre transmission networks and services, including ISDN, Ethernet, GPON, MetroEthernet, Gigawave, and Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure service excellence by meeting Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets for service delivery and restoration in alignment with product guidelines and customer contracts.
  • Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures in compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act (WHSA), and use appropriate safety equipment to carry out tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Follow operational procedures, including obtaining customer sign-off on the Service Report Form (SRF) upon job completion.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to complete assigned tasks efficiently and within stipulated timelines.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates in delivery workflow and ticketing systems for work orders, fault resolution, and routine maintenance.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Diploma in Computer, IT, Engineering or Customer Service; additional technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Field Engineer or in a similar technical support role, preferably within home/office networking, telecommunications, or green technology sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge in data communications (wired and wireless), internet security, and home automation systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical users clearly and effectively.
  • Precision in English; bilingual abilities are an added advantage.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and maintain performance under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Adaptable to various work environments and customer requirements, with a collaborative mindset to work well in team settings.
