We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to support our technical teams in various aspects of vessel operations. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and management of technical documentation, reports, and records related to vessel maintenance and repair schedules.
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vessels by assisting with monitoring vessel maintenance, dry-docking, and repair schedules. You will also be responsible for coordinating procurement of spare parts, equipment, and consumables for vessels in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track vessel maintenance, dry-docking, and repair schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate procurement of spare parts, equipment, and consumables for vessels in compliance with company policies.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely updates of maintenance logs, safety reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Track and update vessel certificates, inspections, and class approvals.
- Liaise with suppliers, shipyards, and service providers to facilitate technical support and procurement.
- Maintain a database of spare parts and inventory for efficient stock management.
- Provide administrative support for technical teams, including scheduling meetings and preparing presentations.
- Assist in incident reporting, analysis, and follow-up actions as per company safety policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime, shipping, or offshore industry.
- Familiarity with vessel operations, maintenance schedules, and classification society requirements.
- Proficiency in using fleet management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
