Job Opportunity:

Credit Risk Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analysis Specialist to conduct independent and impartial credit risk analysis of existing and potential borrowers for creditworthiness and repayment capability.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to assess the creditworthiness of clients, identifying potential risks and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present annual and quarterly credit reviews to senior management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Support credit rating applications proposed by the credit investment department, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly reports to track disclosure and receipt of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Completing credit reviews and credit rating reviews within established timelines, meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Liaising with stakeholders regarding credit control, providing expert guidance and support as needed.
  • Organizing credit committee meetings and preparing minutes thereof, facilitating effective communication and decision-making.
  • Conducting research and producing reports on credit issues relevant to the branch's credit portfolio, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth.
  • Assisting, training, and providing oversight to junior or new colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Leading the drive to shift away from mechanistic compliance to individual assumption for practices that promote a culture of accountability and good conduct, driving positive change and results.
  • Supporting the head of department in achieving the credit control department's targets, contributing to the organization's success and growth.
Qualifications and Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 15-20 years of credit analyst experience in banking, with a strong background in writing credit papers and analyzing complex financial data.
  • Substantial experience in credit analysis of large corporates, with a deep understanding of corporate structures and financial markets.
  • At least 6-8 years of credit analysis experience in lending to companies, with a proven track record of successful loan origination and portfolio management.
  • A degree is required, preferably in a field such as finance, economics, or business administration.
  • Team lead experience (managing credit analysts), with a strong ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
