The Transformation Group

The Transformation Group at DBS supports the Group Head of GSTAR in implementing the Group's strategic agenda. This includes driving strategic initiatives across geographies and working with businesses and functions to achieve this goal. The mandate of Operations Data Chapter (Ops DC) is to lead and support our Operations stakeholders towards becoming an AI Fueled support unit.

About the Role

This role plays a critical part in building the data ecosystem and driving advanced analytics to support journey transformation and process optimization in Institutional Banking Operations and Operations COO. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to drive the transformation agenda and decision making in achieving business goals & outcomes. Your responsibilities will include leading project teams, working with subject matter experts to bridge business needs and development of data solutions, and ensuring robust documentation of data processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Key Functional Stakeholders within IBGO and Ops COO to understand business/servicing opportunities, identify meaningful data insights and develop analytics products and recommendations (automation and visualization)
  • Lead the project team/squad and work with subject matter experts (i.e. Functional leads within/outside of Corporate Banking Operation) and data science leads to bridge business needs and development of data solutions.
  • Coordinate all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of process automation and data reporting needs through analytical reports and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain the Data Governance Framework, ensuring the team follows bank-wide data compliance guidelines.
  • Work with DC Lead to develop analytical strategies, present analyses and recommendations in strategic reviews to stakeholders and senior leaders using data-driven storytelling.
  • Collaborate with IBGO and Ops COO stakeholders in sharing of best practices and data needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field such as Business Analytics/Statistics/Banking & Finance.
  • Preferably at least 10 years of experience in a business/data analyst function, or related professional experience.
  • Proven track record of leading transformational projects and change management, preferably in data analytics and AI/ML field.
  • Leadership capacity to represent Data Chapter in strategy reviews and cross-functional collaborations/events.
  • Experience with people management and leading a team is a plus.
  • Proficient in SQL/Python, data visualisation tools e.g. QlikView/QilkSense, Tableau.
  • Possess strong business acumen/knowledge to prioritize business needs and promote effective analysis for respective stakeholders. Experience in a Financial industry would be advantageous.
  • Meticulous and analytical to make informed decisions from data.
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a new challenge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
