Job Title: Marine Superintendent

","Job Description:
  • As a senior Marine Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring fleet vessels comply with company policies and procedures.
  • You will monitor vessel operations for HSQE compliance and implement corrective actions as required.
  • You will develop, implement, and revise practical procedures to meet HSQE objectives and policies.
  • Fleet vessels must comply with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC regulations, SIRE, and Oil Major requirements.
  • You will prepare for and participate in audits, including TMSA requirements.
  • You will implement and verify cargo and ballast procedures on board and review plans for safety compliance.
  • You will review and verify navigation practices and procedures to ensure they meet industry and company standards.
  • You will monitor SIRE vetting inspection status, arrange inspections, and coordinate responses.
  • You will liaise with Masters to ensure vessels are ready for PSC and FSC inspections, respond to deficiencies, and close out observations timely.
  • You will coordinate preparation, approval, and maintenance of procedure manuals/plans as required by international conventions.
  • You will coordinate flag registrations, takeovers, or hand-overs of vessels.
  • You will issue and amend trading and statutory certificates in liaison with Technical and Insurance departments.
  • You will liaise with Charterers/Commercial Operators for pre and post-fixing matters and ensure vessels comply with charter party requirements.
  • You will ensure Officer's Matrix is met as per Oil Major's requirements, participate in crew change planning, and familiarize with International Environmental regulations.
","Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading incidents and accidents investigations and making reports timely.
  • Carrying out internal audits (ISM, ISPS, MLC, Mooring, Cargo, and Navigation) and safety inspections on board fleet vessels.
  • Participating in company emergency response and drills.
  • Sailing on board vessels as required.
  • Participating in Officer's Seminars and playing an active role.
  • Briefing and de-briefing Senior Officers, interviewing deck officers for recruitment, appraising senior deck officers, and reviewing junior deck officer appraisals.
","Requirements:
  • Master Mariner with COC-1 license for unrestricted capacity.
  • Sea-going experience in various types of tankers, particularly in Crude Oil Tankers, in senior positions.
  • At least 12 months of sea time as Master in tankers is preferred.
  • Shore experience as Marine Superintendent for Tanker Operations for 2 years is required.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory, class requirements, and international standards for Tanker operations.
  • Must be conversant with ISM/MLC/SIRE/CDI and TMSA requirements.
  • Familiar with SIRE 2.0 requirements.
  • Certification for ISM, ISPS & MLC Internal Auditor.
