Marine Operations Coordinator Job Description

The Marine Operations Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless movement of vessels, overseeing day-to-day marine operations to guarantee timely arrivals and departures. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including shipmasters, agents, and crew members, to facilitate port calls, cargo operations, and crew changes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage marine operations to ensure efficient vessel movements.
  • Coordinate with shipmasters, agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate port calls, cargo operations, and crew changes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
  • Handle documentation related to shipping operations, including bills of lading, cargo manifests, and customs declarations.
  • Manage and resolve operational issues or emergencies that may arise.
  • Collaborate with departments to optimize operational processes and improve service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maritime management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays, if required.
