Technical Operations Excellence Specialist

Job DescriptionPurpose and Scope

Deliver exceptional technical support, performance expertise, and process knowledge to ensure efficient operation, high plant availability, reliability, and optimization as a member of the operations team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Review technical documents for compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, business improvement, safety, and procurement teams to scope, align, and execute improvement projects.
  • Assess risk analysis on plant and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Develop and implement processes for asset integrity management systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide discipline engineering support to plant O&M teams to resolve complex issues requiring expertise beyond the plant level.
  • Formulate strategies for plant integrity and inspection with the maintenance team.
  • Verify cross-functional integrity audit findings and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
  • Drive equipment reliability and availability reviews to maximize equipment utilization.
  • Offer recommendations for equipment efficiency improvements, including new versus rebuilt equipment, existing versus new technologies, and labor versus automation.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Both fresh graduates and candidates with proven experience in power/utilities plant operations and maintenance are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in handling projects will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of reliability methodologies, including FMEA, RCM, and condition-based maintenance.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices.
  • Proactive in keeping up with new technologies and seeking solutions to optimize plant operations.
  • Independent with initiatives, resourceful, and positive attitude.
  • Good team player and able to deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working 12 hours rotating (day/night) shift.
