Data Centre Migration Specialist

High-Level Job Overview
A senior-level project manager is required to oversee a large-scale data centre migration project. This involves transitioning close to 10,000 virtual machines from a single incumbent technology provider to two new external providers within a hypervisor-based environment.
Key Responsibilities- Overall Project Management:
- Lead and manage the migration project across its full lifecycle (approximately 2.5 years), covering planning, infrastructure design, build, cutover, and post-migration stabilization.
- Oversee one of the two vendor migration tracks, based on a workload distribution ratio of approximately 40%-60% between the two platforms.
- Project Planning:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and commitment to project goals.
- Vendor Management:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance and provide feedback for improvement.
