Job Title: Ship Repair and Conversion Specialist


Job Summary:

This role requires a highly skilled individual to manage the preparation of tenders and billing documents for ship repair and conversion assignments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development: Review technical specifications and ensure timely delivery of pricing proposals to clients.
  • Subcontractor Management: Actively identify and liaise with subcontractors and vendors capable of supporting marine repair services.
  • Procurement and Negotiation: Manage issuance of Purchase Orders and conduct pricing and term negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Customer Liaison: Collaborate with customers to clarify, negotiate, and finalize invoicing matters; track project progress and maintain accurate cost and budget records.
  • Contract Administration: Negotiate procurement terms and place orders for equipment required for vessel repair and conversion activities.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate and present project profit & loss statements for management evaluation.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Engineering degree from a recognized university or equivalent institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in ship repair operations.
  • Commercial Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial function within a medium-sized shipyard.
