Laboratory Management Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced laboratory supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our quality control laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing team activities, prioritizing tasks, and optimizing resource utilization to meet work schedules and targets. They will also be involved in classifying final products and reworked lots, troubleshooting quality issues, and implementing improvements from analysis gap studies. In addition, they will monitor in-process samples, collaborate with production teams, and prepare activity and progression reports to identify recurring problems. Ensuring quality control system effectiveness and efficiency is also a key responsibility of this role. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a chemical-related field or equivalent experience, as well as minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in laboratory testing (wet chemistry). They should also have the ability to lead and manage a team of laboratory technicians, familiarity with laboratory equipment including gas chromatography, atomic absorption spectroscopy, auto-titrator, near infrared spectroscopy, and experience with manual testing methodologies. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage laboratory operations and ensure compliance with operating standards.
  • Classify final products and reworked lots, troubleshoot quality issues, and implement improvements from analysis gap studies.
  • Monitor in-process samples, collaborate with production teams, and prepare activity and progression reports to identify recurring problems.
  • Ensure quality control system effectiveness and efficiency by monitoring staff, equipment, and laboratory processes.
  • Prepare reports on quality and productivity, train laboratory assistants, and supervise and coach team members.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a Chemical-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in Laboratory Testing (Wet Chemistry).
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of laboratory technicians.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including Gas Chromatography, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Auto-titrator, Near Infrared spectroscopy.
  • Experience with Manual Testing methodologies.
