Maintenance Technician Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on facilities equipment. This includes servicing air conditioning systems, conducting electrical inspections, and making minor repairs to trucks and forklifts. You will also perform daily facilities maintenance routines, troubleshoot simple mechanical and electrical issues, and install minor M&E systems.

Liaising with external contractors and technicians is also an essential part of this role, as well as carrying out any other duties assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Higher Nitec (ITC) or Nitec (NTC 2 / NTC 3) qualification in engineering disciplines, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in facilities or building maintenance, mechanical or electrical work.
  • Excellent physical and medical fitness, as the job requires strong stamina.
  • An advantage would be prior experience handling ammonia.
