Cost Estimator

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled Cost Estimator to join our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in estimating or cost engineering.

Job Description

The Cost Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate and reliable cost estimates for custom and standard products, focusing on aircraft tooling and military vehicles. This will involve working closely with engineering, production, procurement, and sales teams to align estimates with technical specifications, client needs, and profitability goals.

The role will also involve assessing technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to identify cost-effective solutions for acquiring or fabricating tools and equipment. Additionally, the Cost Estimator will deliver timely and accurate pricing for new projects, modifications, or repairs involving tools and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop precise cost estimates for both custom and standard products.
  • Work analytically and with attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and sales teams.
  • Assess technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
  • Deliver timely and accurate pricing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and at least 3 years of experience in estimating or cost engineering, preferably within a tooling fabrication and machining environment.

Strong knowledge of engineering principles, GD&T, materials, surface & heat treatments, and testing is essential. The candidate should also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
