Job Title: Community Development Liaison

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Community Development Liaison to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about building relationships, developing programs, and driving community engagement initiatives.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to promote community awareness and engagement. They will work closely with various departments to conceptualize communications strategies and contribute ideas for internal events. Additionally, they will build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, grassroots organizations, schools, and volunteers, as well as local community leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize and develop communications strategies in collaboration with team members.
  • Develop written materials such as articles, CEO speeches, marketing materials, and reports.
  • Collaborate with departments to develop communications/marketing collateral when needed.
  • Work with Senior/Centre Managers to develop/strategize engagement programs for residents/clients and promote awareness of the organization's mission.
  • Develop a comprehensive outreach plan and publicity strategy for the organization.
  • Participate in research, writing, and presentation of proposals and reports where required.
  • Lead and organize internal and external events for the organization.
  • Track and report effectiveness of outreach programs and engagement activities.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mass Communications or Journalism is preferred.
  • Prior experience within the healthcare sector is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data presentation.
  • Savvy in design software and platforms.
  • Eye for details and meticulous in event planning.
  • Proven capability to drive strategic PR campaigns.
  • Can-do attitude and interest in engaging the elderly.
  • People-centric and possess sound EQ to work with various levels within the clinical and rehab setting.
  • Customer service-focused attitude and approach.
